Basement Stairs Carpet Removed

SERVPRO of The Attleboros was recently called to a home that required the removal of the basement stair's carpet. There was a funky smell coming out of the rug and the homeowner decided that it was time to have it removed and inspected. When our crews arrived, they used our advanced moisture detection equipment to determine if there was any water damage to the stairs that could be potentially creating mold growth. Upon doing so, they detected a slight amount of moisture and removed the carpet. After this, they did in fact, find mold growing underneath what was the carpet and followed proper protocol to remove the infection and get this family back to their everyday life.
